KDC, a leading developer and acquirer of award-winning mixed-use projects and corporate build-to-suit campus projects for major companies, has hired Aarica Mims, CCIM, as senior vice president and director of leasing.
In her new role, Mims will implement and lead KDC’s new leasing platform and build the leasing team. She will focus on acquisitions, multi-tenant office leasing and ground-up builds, as well as leasing single-tenant corporate build-to-suit developments.
“Following on the heels of our July announcement about our first fund, we have hit the ground running and are preparing for the growth opportunities ahead,” said Eric Hage, KDC’s executive vice president, development. “We know leasing and acquisition activity will ramp up, and we feel Aarica has the experience and talent to lead the effort and build a top-notch team.”
Prior to joining KDC, Mims served as leasing manager at Granite Properties, where she was responsible for leasing a portfolio of 4 million sf of mixed-use projects and Class A/AA office space. During her time at Granite, Mims was also actively involved in the design, implementation, and leasing of speculative office projects throughout the D-FW metroplex. Prior to Granite, Mims was an Agency Leasing sector senior vice president for Peloton Commercial Real Estate.
“I’ve long admired KDC and the company’s incredible projects, people and culture,” said Mims. “Jumping on board to oversee the leasing platform at this important junction in KDC’s company history is truly a great opportunity that will take this great company to the next chapter and beyond.”
Mims graduated from Oklahoma’s East Central University with a BSBA in finance, and she is actively involved with various Dallas-area charitable organizations, including the Armstrong-Bradfield Preschool Association Board.
