Keeley Construction completed an expansion and renovation on the existing North office for food flavorists, Brookside Flavors in Addison, Illinois.

Brookside Flavors are designers and developers of Made BetterTM  food experiences through formulas and ingredients that go into alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, confections, alternative proteins, savory, and nutrition. Phase III marks the latest work on this 227,043-square-foot office, production, and warehouse facility for Brookside, located at 1210 N Swift Road.

While Brookside Flavors employees were still occupying and utilizing its production and office space, Keeley Construction completed the expansion and renovation in three phases, working diligently so as not to disrupt company operations.

Overall work consisted of converting a portion of the existing warehouse to be an H3 compliant warehouse, converting (2) existing production rooms to be a H2 compliant production room, and an expansion of the south production office for additional office, lab and trucker space.

Work on the north office included adding high-end finishes for client relations areas, front façade enhancements, production waste upgrades, new R&D labs and landscaping refresh. Additionally, the build-out of a new outdoor patio deck is an exciting new feature as it combines with a retractable glass overhead door entrance that divides the outdoor patio and breakroom.

Additional upgrades include new: conference rooms, lobby, vestibule, breakroom, meeting rooms and open office areas, and new lab casework throughout lab spaces.

The Keeley Construction team consisted of Paul Jennrich, Project Manager; Bob Best, Superintendent; Shawn Bulow, VP of Field Operations and Safety Manager; and Teresa Peters, Project Coordinator. Heitman Architects served as the architect on this project.
