Savills confirmed a new Chicago location for Am Law Global 200 firm Kennedys Law LLP. The fast-growing firm will occupy a nearly 10,000-square-foot space on the 36th floor of the CME Center located at 30 South Wacker Drive in the West Loop. The firm will relocate in October.
In 2017, Kennedys Law entered the market after completing a merger with insurance firm Carroll McNulty & Kull, which included retaining its office at 100 North Riverside Plaza. The firm sought a new location in an upgraded setting that would assist with its talent retention and recruitment goals and provide an effective workplace for its growing workforce. Kennedys Law is a national client of Savills Corporate Managing Director Perry Kaplan, who collaborated with Savills Vice Chairmen Eric Feinberg and John Goodman and Assistant Director Brandon Nasatir to confirm a new real estate plan for the firm.
The team identified an opportunity on the 36th floor at the recently renovated CME Center in the West Loop that fit the firm’s requirements. The space offers magnificent views of the Chicago River and city skyline and provides abundant light and open air. Additionally, Kennedys Law can leverage existing conditions in the space including infrastructure and furniture. The building recently completed a large-scale renovation that features a redesigned lobby, multiple tenant lounges, conferencing center, upgraded fitness facilities, and food and beverage options.
Designed by Chicago architectural firm Fujikawa Johnson & Associates, the CME Center at 10 & 30 South Wacker Drive consists of two 4-story towers that overlook the Chicago River. Owner Tishman Speyer completed a major redevelopment of the building that includes a revamped lobby overseen by Kreuck + Sexton Architects and a full range of upgraded amenities. Adam Mitchell and Olivia Parker of Tishman Speyer represented the building.
