Key Mortgage Services doubles down on growing business with new hires and promotions

As homebuyers, real estate companies and the media fixate on current mortgage rates, one Chicagoland mortgage firm is bullish on its opportunities to better serve clients in this unprecedented housing market by strengthening its team with recent new hires and promotions. Chicago-based Key Mortgage Services, Inc. announced the hiring of Jason Brown as vice president, area sales manager, and the promotion of LaToya Spann-Martin as area sales manager and leader of the company’s new community impact and lending division. Jason Brown joins Key Mortgage from Chase and brings 23 years of lending experience to the company. In his new position as area sales manager, Brown will support Key Mortgage sales by focusing on long-term growth and personalized business plans to help loan officers meet their individual goals.

LaToya Spann-Martin has been with Key Mortgage since 2018 and, in her elevated role, will launch the firm’s community impact and lending division. As part of the company’s commitment to housing equality, this division is dedicated to growth, education and outreach in underserved communities, leveraging existing financial literacy and lending partnerships to empower prospective clients and increase homeownership.

Spann-Martin has been passionate about community impact throughout her 25-year professional career. During that time, she partnered with a variety of community-oriented organizations including the Spanish Coalition for Housing, West Cook Homeownership Center, YWCA, Austin Chamber of Commerce and Home Of Life Community Development Corporation. She previously worked as a homebuyer education instructor for both Baird & Warner’s HomeEasier financial literacy workshops and Habitat for Humanity’s Homebuyer University and is currently sponsorship director of the Chicago chapter of the National Association of Minority Mortgage Bankers of America (NAMMBA).
