Cindy Wiegand, property manager with KIRCO, recently received the 2014 Outstanding Service Leadership Award of Excellence from the Detroit chapter of BOMA.
The award is given to individuals who make personal contributions to the growth and well-being of BOMA/Metro Detroit.
A BOMA member since 1994, Wiegand is the chair of the BOMA/Metro Detroit Community Affairs Committee.
During the last two years, BOMA has worked to boost the living conditions for the public safety personnel who work at the Detroit Hazmat Station in Detroit Eastern Market. This has turned into a major project. Wiegand has been a tireless advocate of the project, raising funds and soliciting donations for goods and services. She’s also scraped, painted, scrubbed and dug.
