Milwaukee-based developer Klein Development, in partnership with Hintz Holdings, acquired a high-profile office building on Capitol Square in Madison, Wisconsin.
The property is located at 14 W. Mifflin St. Neighboring businesses include engineering consultant HNTB Corporation, Wisconsin Veterans Museum and Coopers Tavern, among other local favorites and national organizations.
The three-story building was originally constructed in 1924 as a Baron’s Department Store and is currently occupied by Rare Steakhouse on the ground floor. The building’s second and third floors boast about 20,000 square feet of vacant, Class-A commercial space to be leased. Located within walking distance of Capitol Square’s amenities, restaurants and other popular destinations, the building welcomes tenants, specifically those in the retail business, the service industry, the beauty industry or an office user in pursuit of the highly desirable and valuable opportunity of displaying signage on Capitol Square.
Building ownership is a partnership between Klein Development and Hintz Holdings. Eppstein Uhen Architects is the leading architect and Chase Brieman of CBRE is the office leasing broker.
