Kraus-Anderson will begin construction this month on the Elliot Park Hotel, an eight-story, 168-unit hotel at Portland Avenue at 9th Street in downtown Minneapolis.
The Elliot Park Hotel is part of the new mixed-use block development that will also feature Krause-Anderson’s new home office, a 17-story H.Q. residential tower and Finnegan’s microbrewery.
Yakima, Wash.-based Wilkinson Corporation, which recently purchased the hotel’s real estate from Krause-Anderson, is developing the hotel in partnership with Krause-Anderson.
The Elliot Park hotel is scheduled to open in the summer of 2018.
Hotel amenities will include a fireside lounge, library, event space, meeting rooms and a fitness center. An attractive brick exterior will include metal clad bays and large windows, a transparent first floor and a new streetscape with high-quality landscaping and large canopy trees that will be inviting to guests, visitors and pedestrians.
The Elliot Park Hotel also will feature Tavola, a farm-to-table Italian restaurant, which will offer a warm, inviting atmosphere, and will include a private dining room.
