Kraus-Anderson has begun construction on a $40.4 million elementary school for Le Sueur-Henderson Public Schools in Le Sueur, Minnesota.
In August of 2022, voters approved a $39.9 million referendum to fund the new school.
The new Le Sueur-Henderson Elementary School at 901 Ferry St. will be built adjacent to the high school.
Designed by ATS&R Planners, Architects and Engineers, the two-story, 113,090-square-foot school serving grades K-5 includes new classrooms, labs, music room, Kid’s Club, cafeteria and administrative offices with a nurse’s area.
The building also features safe and secure entry, 30,000-square-foot field house with a three-court gymnasium and locker rooms, and a 6,000-square-foot storm shelter. In addition, the site will include a new parking lot, bus drop-off and two dedicated playground areas.
Construction is expected to be completed in August of 2024.
