Kraus-Anderson has completed a 50,000-square-foot St. Paul Public Schools Education & Operations Service facility in St. Paul, Minnesota.
The facility was remodeled to accommodate the increased number of relocated staff who were previously working in leased spaces. The remodeled EOS site will house about 230 staff members who work for the Office of Digital and Alternative Education, Office of Teaching and Learning, Office of Early Learning and Office of Equity. Other departments and programs already located at EOS include the Facilities Department, Nutrition Services and Technology Services.
The $9.9 million facility includes a two-story, 25,000-square-foot office space renovation, 5,000-square-foot warehouse renovation and 20,000-square-foot addition for conferencing facilities, staff offices and work stations, and support spaces.
Designed by TKDA Architects, the EOS features flexible spaces with open office areas, training center, meeting rooms, inclusive restrooms and gathering areas. Upgrades include additional parking, lighting and electrical service. In addition, docks 4 and 5 on the west side of the building were eliminated and Distribution’s operations were relocated to the east side of the building.
