Kraus-Anderson has completed phase one of The Hallon, a luxury apartment community at Excelsior Boulevard and Blake Road, adjacent to the future Blake Road Metro Green Line Extension Transit Station in Hopkins, Minnesota.
Developed by Trilogy Real Estate Group and designed by ESG Architects, the three-phase, mixed-use project redevelops 6.4 acres of land and will connect three residential buildings that will add approximately 770 new state-of-the-art, market-rate units to the growing neighborhood.
The project emphasizes an urban connection with natural landscapes and green spaces, walking paths and boulevards, which will enhance the gateway to the City of Hopkins. Across from Cedar Lake Trail, the design features a public community space, which will include amenities for residents as well as pedestrians.
Now open, the first phase includes a seven-story, 329,000-square-foot apartment building with 219 units, garage parking, and retail space on the first level. The building’s upscale design features a main lobby and concierge desk, outdoor pool and spa, fitness center with Technogym equipment and Peloton spin bikes, multi-sport simulator room, bike shop, makers space, clubroom and speakeasy-style lounge. The property also includes work-from-home spaces, conference room, community library, professional on-site management and 24-hour on-call maintenance. Construction began in December 2021.
The second phase will feature a seven-story building with 250 apartment units. The 398,822-square-foot mixed-use building also includes 10,000 square feet of retail space and garage parking. The building has a wellness lifestyle focus with amenities including an outdoor walking track, fitness lawn and yoga studios, sauna, lap pool and spa, and club room featuring a demonstration kitchen and rooftop speakeasy lounge. Construction on phase two has begun and is expected to be completed in the summer of 2024.
A third phase is anticipated, however details are still pending.
