Kraus-Anderson Construction makes two key leadership promotions

Kraus-Anderson Construction is kicking off the new year with two key leadership promotions.  The company has named Pat Mulcahey as director of operations and Jason Peterson as director of project planning and development.  Both work in the Minneapolis office.

Pat Mulcahey

As director of operations, Mulcahey will provide oversight of the preconstruction, construction and post construction phases in the education, airport, government and special project market sectors. 

He joined KA in 2001 and most recently served as construction executive for the K-12 Education Construction Group where he has worked on more than 138 projects totaling over $1.5 billion.  He has managed numerous projects for Minnesota school districts, including Minneapolis, Robbinsdale, Waseca, Eastern Carver County, Wayzata, Duluth, Forest Lake, South Washington County and Independent District 622.  Mulcahey also managed construction in other market sectors including projects for Scheel’s, Cabela’s, Winfield Solutions and Key Aviation/Anoka Airport.

Mulcahey earned a B.S. in Construction Management from the University of Minnesota and LEED certification.  He is a member of the Minnesota Association of School Maintenance Supervisors and serves on the University of Minnesota Construction Management Advisory Committee.

Jason Peterson

In his new role as director of project planning and development, Peterson will serve as a key consultant with communities and school districts on pre-referendum and bonding construction projects. 

Peterson joined KA in 2003 and most recently served as a senior project manager.  His KA experience features numerous education projects for the University of Minnesota and with school districts, including White Bear Lake, Roseville, Virginia-Eveleth-Gilbert, Orono, Westonka, Waconia, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, Fairmont, Spring Lake Park, Le Sueur-Henderson, Cambridge-Isanti, St. Croix Falls and Grantsburg, Wis. and Minot and Williston N.D.  He also managed construction in other market sectors including numerous projects for Thrivent Financial, Buffalo Wild Wings, Mall of America, Cabela’s, Best Buy and Menards.

Peterson graduated from Dunwoody College of Technology and is a member of the Minnesota Administrators for Special Education (MASE), Minnesota Association of School Administrators, Minnesota Construction Association (MCA) and Minnesota Rural Education Association (MREA).
