Kraus-Anderson (KA) has completed construction on a new $35 million elementary school for Le Sueur-Henderson Public Schools. In August of 2022, voters approved a $39.9 million referendum to fund the new school.
The new Le Sueur-Henderson Elementary School, located at 901 Ferry St. in Le Sueur, was built adjacent to the high school.
Designed by ATS&R Planners, Architects and Engineers, the two-story, 113,090-square-foot school serving grades K-5, includes new classrooms, labs, music room, Kid’s Club, cafeteria and administrative offices with a nurse’s area. The building also features a safe and secure entry, 30,000-square-foot field house with a three-court gymnasium and locker rooms, and a 6,000-square-foot storm shelter. In addition, the site includes a new parking lot, bus drop-off and two dedicated playground areas.
Construction began in May of 2023.
