Kraus-Anderson Construction has begun a $7.7 million renovation of Cooper High School at 8230 47th Ave. N. in New Hope, Minnesota.
Designed by Lawal Scott Erickson Architects, the renovation includes glass-and-metal main entry that will be incorporated into an expanded administration area with best practices secure entry features. Upgrades also include new theater lighting, AV systems, ticketing and concessions; new theater seating with an ADA accessible control room, access ramp and seating; and wall, ceiling and floor finishes to compliment the new stage and curtains.
Construction is expected to be completed in early November 2019.
Cooper High School is one of dozens of major K-12 construction projects Kraus-Anderson will work on this year during its “Summer Slam,” a critical, concentrated time during the summer months when school is not in session and when crews can perform work that ranges from new school construction to upgrades to deferred maintenance projects.
