The Bemidji, Minnesota, office of Kraus-Anderson will build Center City Housing, a new 60-unit apartment complex at 600 Third Street NW in Bemidji. The multi-family development will provide affordable housing for those in need.
The $7.5 million building is being developed by Center City Housing Corp., a statewide provider of affordable supportive housing and a regional provider of affordable rental housing.
Designed by LHB Architects, Center City Housing will include 40 units dedicated to single-room occupancy for chronic alcoholics and 20 efficiency apartment units for the recently homeless.
Construction is expected to be completed by November of 2017.
