Kraus-Anderson completed a $34.9 million, 96,435-square-foot project consisting of additions and renovations at Jordan Public Schools in Jordan, Minnesota.
Project work included two locations: Jordan Elementary School located at 815 Sunset Dr. and Jordan High School located at 600 Sunset Dr. in Jordan, Minn.
Elementary School:
Designed by ISG Architects, the project features the construction of two separate additions including a new 8,500-square-foot gym also serving as a storm shelter. The addition includes a cafeteria, kitchen, loading dock and a secure front entry with reception area and office space. The second addition includes seven new classrooms and a flexible learning space. The project also includes extensive interior renovations to Pre-K through Grade 4 classrooms, storage spaces, media center and bathrooms, as well as exterior window replacements and mechanical and electrical system upgrades.
The exterior upgrades include new parking lots, playground spaces, site improvements, and new bus and parent pick-up/drop-off zones and parking areas to improve safety for students and minimize traffic impacts to the neighborhood.
High School:
Construction at Jordan High School consists of a new secured front entry, reception area and office spaces.
The high school project was split into two phases, with extensive renovations occurring during two summer seasons. Construction began in April of 2024 and was substantially completed in August of 2025.
