Kraus-Anderson Construction Company has completed construction on a new $45 million high school in St. Peter, Minnesota.
Designed by ISG Architects, the 183,500-square-foot, two-story St. Peter High School features a 720-seat auditorium, pod classrooms for flexible student collaboration, learning resource center, science rooms, special education rooms, media center, and video production and sound recording studios.
The project also includes engineering, machinery and carpentry labs, science and chemistry labs, shop areas, art rooms, culinary arts kitchen, greenhouse and music rooms for band and choir. A large commons area serves as a lunchroom and meeting space.
Athletic additions include a new gymnasium with three basketball courts, multi-purpose activity center, fitness room, eight tennis courts, baseball field, softball field, six multi-purpose athletic fields and locker rooms for boys and girls physical education and varsity athletics. The site also includes staff, student and visitor parking, student drop-off area and maintenance garage.
