Kraus-Anderson has completed construction of Fontaine Towers, a 119,000-square-foot affordable housing project located at 102 2nd St. SE in Rochester, Minnesota.

The project features the rehabilitation of a 17-story, 151-unit multifamily affordable housing building originally constructed in 1982.

Rochester-based Titan Development & Investments is both the developer of the rehabilitation and the operator of Fontaine Towers.

Designed by Twin Cities-based LHB architects, major elements of the renovation included remodeling the kitchens in all 151 units and all common spaces; window replacements, tuckpointing and parking lot repaving.

Construction, which included demolition and remodeling, took place while the building was fully occupied and remarkably completed with minimal interruptions.

KA and Titan also collaborated on the new Hilton, a 264-room luxury hotel in downtown Rochester which opened in early April 2019.
