Kraus-Anderson completed a renovation and expansion of the Scheels retail sporting goods store at the Kirkwood Mall in Bismarck, North Dakota.
Designed by R.L. Engebretson Architecture, the 32,400-square-foot interior remodel includes 20-709 square feet of storage and 9,734 square feet retail expansion with more space for footwear, the toy shop and boy’s and girl’s clothing.
The project also includes fire-rated wall construction and fire sprinkler upgrades. Crews worked at night on the project’s six separate phases to minimize impacts to retail operations.
Construction on the renovation began in March 2026.
