Kraus-Anderson Construction has completed an extensive expansion and renovation of Cuyuna Regional Medical Center at 320 E. Main St. in Crosby, Minnesota. A community-built facility, CRMC serves about 30,000 people in the Brainerd Lakes area.
Designed by HDR Architects, the $17 million, 52,376-square-foot project features a new state-of-the-art outpatient Orthopaedics, Spine & Interventional Pain Clinic and Rehabilitation Department.
To make room for the new clinic, underutilized areas of the Care Center were consolidated and the Cancer Care Center was relocated. A new dining room, patio and activities center were added to the Care Center and its nurses stations, resident rooms and offices were remodeled.
On the outside, the project includes two new canopies to the main entrance and to the Care Center, a new loading dock and parking lot expansion.
