The Rochester, Minnesota, office of Kraus-Anderson has completed construction of Education Village, a $31.2 million expansion at Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota.
The project features comprehensive renovations to Helble Hall (formerly Wabasha Hall), Wabasha Recreation Center and Cathedral Elementary School to create Education Village, a national model to prepare, inspire and recruit the best and brightest students to be teachers.
Education Village will be used by the College of Education to develop teachers, as well as principals, superintendents and administrators, whose knowledge and skills are closely aligned with the needs of school districts and communities.
Designed by the Minneapolis office of Leo A Daly architects, the project also will feature new flexible learning spaces, including those for Early Childhood Education training and child care programs and WSU’s Children’s Center.
Education Village will be open for the beginning of the 2019 fall semester.
