Matthew Malcolm has joined the Carmel, Indiana, office of law firm Krieg DeVault LLP as a senior associate in the firm’s real estate practice.
Malcolm will provide counsel in all aspects of commercial real estate matters, including the negotiation, development, acquisition and disposition of commercial properties. Malcolm is experienced in negotiating and drafting commercial, retail and residential leases, development agreements, purchase and sale agreements, lending agreements, letters of intent, easements, access agreements, mortgages and guarantees. He also represents clients on local land use and tax phase-in matters.
In addition to his real estate and land use practice, Malcolm has experience working with a variety of private sector businesses on entity formation, corporate governance issues, mergers and acquisitions transactions, contract drafting and negotiation and other general corporate matters.
Malcolm is a graduate of the Indiana University Maurer School of Law and holds membership in the Indiana and American Bar Associations, the Brooks American Inn of Court and the Southern Indiana Builders Association. Additionally, he is a past recipient of the Best Lawyers in America and Indiana Super Lawyers Rising Stars designations.
