Krieg DeVault partner to head firm’s real estate group

Krieg DeVault partner David Adams has been named as the law firm’s new Real Estate and Environmental Practice Group Chair. Adams, who joined the firm in March of 2019, will now lead the firm’s growing real estate practice previously led for the past five years by Partner Paul Reis, who will remain with the firm.

Throughout his 19-year career, Adams has focused his practice on representing commercial real estate developers, investors, lenders, landlords and tenants in connection with the development, financing, leasing, purchasing and selling of office, industrial, healthcare, multi-family and retail properties. He also has extensive experience representing business owners in connection with entity formation, the acquisition and sale of businesses, as well as the negotiation and structuring of complex supply, distribution, and other general business agreements.

Adams is active in his community, currently serving on the Board of Directors for School on Wheels, and is a member of the Indianapolis, Indiana State and American Bar Associations. He is also a member of Krieg DeVault’s Commercial Real Estate Lending Practice Group.

Before joining Krieg DeVault, Adams spent his years in private practice and as in-house counsel with Lauth Group, Inc. He is a graduate of Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and counsels clients from the firm’s Carmel, Indiana, office location.
