Kudan Group‘s Juan Carlos Gomez negotiated the sale of Flat Iron Grill at 1571 North Milwaukee Avenue. Chef Shin Thompson, from Bonsoiree and Table,Donkey & Stick, has partnered with Takito Kitchen operators Mario Ponce and Anshul Mangal for their latest venture. The trio is bringing a late-night ramen concept to Wicker Park.
Thompson will be following in his grandfather’s footsteps, who also owned a ramen shop in Japan. The menu will feature authentic ramen dishes, a selection of sides and traditional Japanese beer and sake. Furious Spoon is set to open in February.
