Karen Lauerman is the new president and chief executive officer of the Lake County Indiana Economic Alliance. She will take this position in October.
Donald Koliboski will join the leadership team at the economic development agency — serving a slice of Northwest Indiana just across the border from Illinois and the Chicago area — as vice president of economic development.
“Being a life-long resident of Lake County, I am honored to be selected for this role and look forward to working with the Board and investors in moving the organization, Lake County and all of northwest Indiana forward,” said Lauerman, in a written statement. “This is an amazing opportunity to focus efforts on a county with unlimited potential, continue to engage regionally and partner with the communities for the greatest success.”
