Marcus & Millichap announced the sale of a 3,000-square-foot, mixed-use property located at 3155 N. Halsted Street in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago, according to Steven D. Weinstock, regional manager of the firm’s Chicago Oak Brook office. After attracting multiple offers, the asset sold for $800,000.
Brewster Hague, Austin Weisenbeck and Sean R. Sharko, investment specialists in Marcus & Millichap’s Chicago Oak Brook office, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, an individual/personal trust. The buyer, a limited liability company, was also secured and represented by Hague, Sharko and Weisenbeck. The property traded for 97 percent of the list price and closed in just 89 days.
Located near the intersection of Halsted Street and Belmont Avenue—a stretch of Lakeview with a 1-mile radius population of 99,635 and average household income of $123,148—the property offers high visibility and proximity to public transit and retail. The asset is two blocks from the Belmont CTA station, one block from a newly developed Target store and within walking distance of numerous shops and restaurants.
