Lamar Johnson Collaborative adds to executive management team

Jim Jobes

Lamar Johnson Collaborative, a national architecture, planning and interior design firm headquartered in Chicago, has added Jim Jobes to its executive management team as senior principal.

In this role, Jobes will help drive studio development in the aviation/aerospace and industrial/advanced manufacturing markets, as well as overall strategic growth.

For more than 25 years, Jobes has managed global teams and large-scale design and construction projects for Fortune 500 firms such as Southwest Airlines, Amazon Air and John Deere. Most recently, Jobes served as executive vice president at international architecture, engineering and construction firm Ghafari Associates for which he launched branch offices in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; São Paulo, Brazil; and Fort Worth, Texas, to support interests and clients in those regions. He also oversaw a global staff of more than 80.

Prior to that, Jobes managed pharmaceutical, commercial and industrial projects for AECOM.

Jobes is affiliated with numerous civic and professional associations, including the Industrial Asset Management Council; Design Build Institute of America; Chicago Council of Global Affairs; American Chamber of Commerce Brazil; and Active Transportation Alliance. He holds an Master of Architecture from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Indiana University. He is a licensed architect in the states of Illinois and Texas.
