Interra Realty has closed a 50-unit property in the South Shore neighborhood that sold for $3.75 million, and a 37-unit property in the Hyde Park/Kenwood neighborhood that sold for $2.76 million.
A fully rehabbed 50-unit multi-family property at 6901 S. Paxton also has a 50-unit secured parking lot. Goss and Morgan represented the seller who purchased the South Shore neighborhood property in 2010 following a bank foreclosure and turned around a bad situation where nearly 45% of the building was uninhabitable.
A 37-unit courtyard building at 4742 S. Woodlawn has large, spacious apartments on the northern boundary of Hyde Park. The building’s location is nestled amongst multimillion dollar homes in close proximity to President Obama’s personal residence. Goss and Morgan represented both the buyer and the seller. The property was sold by a local investment fund to a local investor who is bullish on the continued rapid expansion surrounding the University of Chicago.
