In recognition of 39 years in real estate, James Planey, principal at Lee & Associates Illinois, was one of the recipients of the 2013 Leaders of Lee award at the Lee broker’s summit, which was held recently in Las Vegas.
The award was created to give recognition to those who have contributed to the firm and the industry.
Planey has more than 39 years of experience as an industrial real estate broker in Chicago. After decades spent cultivating a career in commercial brokerage, Planey and nine other brokers formed Lee & Associates of Illinois in 2002.
Prior to joining Lee, Planey was a senior vice president with Colliers, where he earned numerous accolades, including being named Colliers Chicago Top Industrial Producer of the Year from 1992 to 1994 and in 1998.
