The Lee’s Summit Housing Authority in the City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, has named Erik Berg as its new executive director. Berg brings a wide range of experience in public and affordable housing, urban planning and real estate development into his new role with LSHA, which began officially on May 20.
Berg most recently served as an underwriter for the Multifamily Rental Production Department at Missouri Housing Development Commission (MHDC), gaining experience in evaluating and overseeing projects funded with Low Income Housing Tax Credits and other federal and state affordable housing programs. Prior to working at MHDC, Berg was urban planner and assistant project manager for the Builders Development Corporation, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) community development corporation serving the Kansas City metropolitan area.
Berg serves in the community by fostering children and volunteer teaching at a children’s ministry.
