Lenexa, Kansas-based Henderson Companies named Jon Runyan as the new president of subsidiary Henderson Building Solutions, a national design-build construction management and commissioning firm.
Runyan, who brings nearly two decades of construction management and leadership experience, is charged with leading day-to-day operations as well as the execution of the strategic vision for the firm.
Prior to joining Henderson, Runyan served as vice president of the Kansas City office of a national commercial design-build contractor. During his tenure, he helped grow the office from $68 million to $189 million in annual billings across the region, where most of the firm’s work was focused on commercial, industrial, and healthcare projects.
As president of Henderson Building Solutions, Runyan will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, helping shape the future initiatives and growth of the organization.
Runyan is an alum of Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz., where he earned a degree in supply chain management.
