Leopardo Companies, Inc. has broken ground on the recladding and renovation of the 11-story, 315,000-square-foot office tower, and soon-to-be Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.‘s new global corporate headquarters. The firm will move its 1,400 employees from Itasca to 2850 Golf Road in Rolling Meadows.
The project is anticipated to be complete by first quarter 2017. Following its move to Rolling Meadows, Gallagher will become one of the city’s largest employers.
The official groundbreaking ceremony was held Aug. 25 at the site of the future headquarters. Local dignitaries were present, along with representatives from Gallagher, Leopardo Companies and Wright Heerema Architects.
Leopardo is serving as general contractor in collaboration with Wright Heerema Architects.
