Leopardo Companies completed a new 265,000-square-foot commercial development anchored by Mariano’s Fresh Market at 3030 N. Broadway in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood.
The project occupies the site of a former Dominick’s, which sat vacant for nearly a decade before Leopardo broke ground in 2015. The site includes a 5-story building occupied by a 40,000-square-foot XSport Fitness, Starbucks, PNC Bank and the 71,000-square-foot Mariano’s.
The development also includes additional space for retail tenants, as well as two levels of parking with 266 stalls. Multiple sustainable features were also incorporated into this LEED-seeking project, including a small community park and green roof.
Serving as general contractor, Leopardo worked with the development team of Gene Porto, Timothy Barrett and Seymour “Sy” Taxman, as well as architect Antunovich Associates. The firms previously worked together to complete both the Ravenswood and Gateway Mariano’s-anchored developments.
