Liberty Property Trust has signed a new long-term lease with Optimum Nutrition Inc. for 212,485 square feet at 900 Bilter Road, Aurora, Ill.
“We are very pleased to be able to offer Optimum Nutrition the distribution space they needed to support their growing business,” said Don Schoenheider, vice president and city manager, Liberty Property Trust.
The 463,636-square-foot industrial building at 900 Bilter Road is part of Liberty Business Center Aurora. The property is LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certified by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) for its sustainable design elements. The building includes energy-reducing features such as fuel efficient heating units, energy efficient light fixtures and increased insulation. Recycled content and materials were also used in the construction of the building. Due to its sustainable design, the building is projected to perform 29 percent more efficiently than a standard code compliant building.
Eric Tressler, Dan Leahy and Adam Marshall of NAI Hiffman represented Liberty Property Trust in the transaction. Newmark Knight Frank Epic represented the tenant in the transaction.
