Douglas Bolton, a professional with an in-depth knowledge of the Ohio business world, recently joined Cassidy Turley as managing principal of the firm’s Cincinnati and Dayton offices.
Bolton will oversee 100 associates, including 30 brokers and 50 property management professionals, and is responsible for business growth in the Cincinnati and Dayton markets.
A 25-year veteran of the newspaper business, Bolton spent the past 11 years as publisher of the Business Courier, a business news organization covering the greater Cincinnati region. During his tenure with the publication Bolton was responsible for impressive revenue and circulation growth. He oversaw paid circulation growth in each of the past five years, and overall has seen circulation grow by nearly 10 percent from 2000-2010, a period when most publications have lost subscribers.
Cassidy Turley chief executive officer Mark Burkhart cited Bolton’s energy, intelligence and vision, and noted that he is a well-known presence in the Cincinnati and Dayton communities.
“When we learned Doug was interested in pursuing something outside of the media industry we were immediately interested in talking with him,” Burkhart said. “His business connections and experience outside the commercial real estate industry will provide fresh perspective to key areas within our operation. I’m glad he is joining our team, and we look forward to leveraging his media, marketing and sales expertise to propel our continued growth in Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky.”
Bolton said he felt honored to be joining the firm at a time of rapid growth.
“Cassidy Turley is in the process of doing a number of exciting things locally and nationally and that makes this a good time for me to come in as new leadership. I see it as a huge opportunity and I’m looking forward to being involved in the details of business development in our region,” Bolton said.
