Loukas Development broke ground on a 12-story luxury apartment building located at 808 W. Van Buren Ave. in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood.
The 148-unit, mixed-use building will be completed in late 2018. It will offer convertibles and a mix of one and two bedroom units. Residents will enjoy a rooftop pool, landscaped outdoor gathering space, a community kitchen with a lounge and private workspaces on the 12th floor. There is also a fitness center with a studio for classes and an entertainment area with grills and 4,000-square-feet of patio space located above the second-floor garage.
The ground floor retail has about 7,500-square-feet of space for restaurants, fitness centers, coffee shops or specialty stores. the first floor lobby will have a daytime manager and evening concierge, a package room, bike storage, dry cleaning and an indoor dog run and wash station.
The project was designed by Chicago-based bKL Architecture.
