LSE Architects recently moved to a new workplace environment at 1401 Glenwood Ave. in Minneapolis to accommodate the growth of staff and projects currently taking place within the firm. Expansion is expected to continue as LSE moves through its second decade in business.
LSE Architects has designed projects across the country, from Nebraska to New York, Iowa to Illinois, Washington to Wisconsin, as well as in Minnesota.
LSE projects near the new Glenwood office include Hennepin County’s Sumner Library, one of the few remaining historic Carnegie Libraries; the Washburn Center for Children; North Market; the MPS North High School Career and Technology Center Renovation, currently under construction; V3 Sports’ New Aquatics Center; the New Satori Senior, Satori Boutique Residential Facilities, currently under construction, developed by Tim Baylor; and entrepreneur/developer Houston White’s HWMR branded barber shop, cafe and multifamily facility.
LSE’s new, two-story 36,000-square-foot workspace environment features a split-level entry vestibule with 60 workstations, three private offices and a redesign of the interior layout. An enclosed garage houses 10 parking stalls and an exterior lot accommodates an additional 50 stalls. Upgrades include new windows and mechanical rooftop units.
The construction manager is Kraus-Anderson, which has worked with LSE since 2012 on more than 50 projects totaling more than $614 million. The two firms work together in several building sectors with majority of projects in K-12 education.
