Luigi Franceschina has returned to Gensler Chicago as a design manager. The 25-year industry veteran will lead teams and deliver experiential ideas for local and global clients by bringing a collective design solution to building lobbies, hotels, mixed-use projects, public spaces, retail and and workplace environments
Franceschina was the director of Gensler’s retail studio until 2007. Between his stints there, he held roles at Stantec as associate and senior architect, at tvsdesign as an associate principal and HOK’s Chicago office as vice president – retail/hospitality leader.
He received a bachelor of science in architectural studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a master of architecture from the University of Michigan. During his undergrad, Franceschina also studied at the Ecole d’Architecture de Versailles.
