Luxury apartment tower Wolf Point West opening next month

Wolf Point West, a new and highly anticipated 48-story LEED Silver apartment tower in Chicago’s River North neighborhood, has officially set its opening for January 2016.

Located at 343 W. Wolf Point Plaza, the building is directly adjacent to the Merchandise Mart with North, South and East views of the Chicago River.

Wolf Point Owners, the AFL-CIO Building Investment Trust (BIT), Hines, and Magellan Development Group, made the recent announcement along with news that the building is now accepting lease applications for residents with availability for move-ins beginning as early as Jan. 11, 2016.

The tower will include 509 units with more than 400,000 square feet of residential area. Residents will also be able to enjoy panoramic views of the city at its top floor Sky Lounge, which will feature an outdoor deck, lounging areas, a television and fire pit.

Amenities will include: an outdoor pool, hot tub and sundeck, indoor-outdoor dog lounge, game room, business center, sauna and steam room, club lounge, and a golf simulator.

According to the building owners, Wolf Point will provide 24-hour door staff, on-site parking, 1 Gigabit wireless internet access, enhanced cellular phone service, and direct access to the river walk, among others.

“Every inch of Wolf Point West has been thoughtfully designed to deliver both remarkable beauty and flawless functionality,” Greg Van Schaack, senior managing director with Hines, said. “This is the first building in a three phase development and will provide the height of luxury apartment living in one of the city’s most prominent areas.”

bKL Architecture worked as the designers of the property and Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects worked designed the site plan. On-site leasing and management services are being provided by Magellan Property Management LLC.
