Paine/Wetzel TCN Worldwide‘s very own, Terry Lynch and Jeff Girling, have completed three transactions in Rolling Meadows, Niles and Cicero, Illinois.
First, the team represented Yonan Carpet One in its purchase of a new retail location and warehouse space. The 32,423 square foot building at 1400 Hicks in Rolling Meadows will serve as a third location for the flooring company.
The building was appealing to Yonan Carpet One because of its highly visible location near the expressway and the 25′ clear height ceilings in the warehouse area. The Yonan Family has operated its carpet and run business in Chicago since 1906, and has since expanded into hardwood flooring and green initiatives in flooring for homes and businesses. Yonan Carpet One purchased the building from Bank of America, which was represented by NAI Hiffman’s Steve Connelly and Adam Marshall.
Girling and Lynch represented Elite Ambulance in its lease of 16,619 square feet at 6249 W. Howard in Niles, Illinois. The ambulance company was looking for a building with ample parking and proximity to the area it will serve. The company has already been successful in the southwest suburbs and is now expanding to Niles and the surrounding area. JLL’s Robin Stolberg represented the landlord, Cabot Properties, in the transaction.
In the final transaction, Horn Lumber has signed a 10-year lease on 35,422 square feet of space at 4700 W. 16th Street in Cicero. The company is expanding and moving its facility from 2440 S. Damen Avenue in Chicago to this new location. Horn Lumber is a fourth-generation family-owned business specializing in the brokerage of domestic and imported hardwood. The new location includes open layouts with large bays, two docks, two drive-in doors, heavy power and 1.9 acres of land for outdoor storage. The team of Jeff Girling and Terry Lynch of Paine/Wetzel / TCN Worldwide worked on behalf of the building’s owner in the transaction. Coldwell Banker’s Stewart Katz represented the tenant.
