Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, is moving its services center and corporate departments to Kansas City, Mo.  The firm will lease 45,000 square feet for its Global Services Center at 2301 McGee Center at Crown Center.

This move will create up to 275 new jobs with the potential for significant growth over the next several years.

Tom Bender and Jeremy Roth, co-managing directors of Littler, said that the company chose Kansas City for its diverse labor force, location in the central time zone and affordable cost of living.

“This announcement proves, once again, Kansas City’s rightful place in our world’s globalized economy,” said Kansas City Mayor Sly James, in a written statement.  “I welcome Littler to the Kansas City community and look forward to watching this company continue to grow and expand in the next several years.”

The Kansas City Area Development Council worked with a number of regional partners in attracting Littler to the region: The Missouri Partnership; Missouri Department of Economic Development; Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, Mo.; City of Kansas City, Mo. – Office of Mayor Sly James; KCP&L; CBRE; Alliance Relocation Center; University of Missouri-Kansas City; University of Kansas; Metropolitan Community College; Missouri Gas Energy; Colliers International; Crown Center Redevelopment Corporation; Aerotek and The Full Employment Council.
