United Technologies Electronic Controls Inc. has signed a long-term lease for 53,246 square feet in the Indiana Office Center building at 111 E. Wayne St. in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana. The company will occupy several floors of the building.
Brad Sturges, President of Sturges Property Group, handled the transaction for the landlord. Sturges Property Group will also coordinate the construction of the tenant improvements, led by Senior Property Manager Tammy Canfield.
UTEC, a global manufacturer of electronic controls for the HVAC, foodservice and RV industries, plans to bring up to 140 engineers, research and development staff to the new space later this summer.
Built in 1994, Indiana Office Center is an eight-story building with penthouse and a skybridge that connects to the City Center parking garage. Other tenants in the building include Flagstar Bank, Wells Fargo and Elevatus Architecture.
