Bell, investment specialists in Marcus & Millichap’s Chicago Oak Brook office and James Ziegler, investment specialist in Marcus & Millichap’s Chicago Downtown office, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, a limited liability company. The buyer, a private investor, was secured and represented by Malay and Bell.
The subject property was part of a five-building portfolio located along Harlem Avenue and consisted of two one-bedroom/one-bathroom units and four two-bedroom/one-bathroom units. Malay and Bell secured 17 property tours and 10 offers. The building ultimately sold to a local investor who assumed responsibility for all needed updates to meet city requirements.
