Marcus & Millichap closed the sale of McHenry Town Center, an eight-suite grocery-anchored shopping center in McHenry, Illinois. The property sold for $13.74 million.
Adrian Mendoza, Sean Sharko and Austin Weisenbeck, investment specialists in Marcus & Millichap’s Chicago Oak Brook office, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, a private family with offices overseas and in Chicago, and procured the southwest based buyer, who was in a 1031-exchange.
McHenry Town Center is situated on 8.9 acres at 2226 N. Richmond Rd. Built in 2003, the 94,658-square-foot shopping center features national tenants including ALDI, Petco, Five Below, Bath & Body Works, Michaels and Famous Footwear. It is positioned along the Route 31 retail corridor near retailers such as Meijer, Home Depot and Walmart Supercenter.
