The National Golf & Resort Properties Group of Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services has sold Prairie View Golf Club, an 18-hole championship golf course located in Indiana just outside the Indianapolis MSA.
Terence Vanek, the lead agent on the asset sale and Chris Karamitsos, co-founder of the National Golf & Resort Properties Group, represented the seller, Cardinal Golf. Vanek also facilitated the buyer group, principal Gary Aletto in partnership with local experts Cohoat & O’Neal Management Corp., in the acquisition of the property.
“We were very lucky to partner with a buyer group that brings considerable expertise and outstanding local success to this storied golf property,” Vanek said. “Prairie View is such a cherished asset of the Indianapolis community, we were all just grateful for the insurance that its future will remain bright under the direction of a distinguished and reputable golf team.”
Prairie View Golf Club, located in Carmel, is the only course in Indiana designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and continuously ranks as one of the best courses in the entire state of Indiana. The 206 acre site is considered a masterpiece of traditional golf design, highlighted by the natural beauty of rolling prairies, towering sycamores and the serene banks of the White River.
Prairie View is complemented by a 7,500-square-foot 1830’s era clubhouse that is both well-appointed yet moderately efficient in function, and offers spectacular views from its veranda patio, as well as the state’s Training Academy, which operates year-round from each of its six, heated indoor teaching bays.
