Marcus & Millichap brokered the sale of a 50-room Super 8 hotel property in Stanton, Texas.
Alexander Curry and Chris Gomes, investment specialists in Marcus & Millichap’s Austin and Dallas offices, exclusively marketed the property on behalf of the seller, Dallas-based LIG Hotels. Rajan Patel from the firm’s Houston office, procured the buyer, a private partnership based in Houston. The transaction received additional support from Allan Miller and Skyler Cooper of the Miller-Gomes Hotel team.
The Super 8 by Wyndham hotel is located at 3432 Interstate 20. Built in 2015, the three-story, interior-corridor, 50-room property features modern amenities including a fitness center, business center and breakfast area. Positioned along Interstate 20 between Midland and Big Spring in the core of the Permian Basin, the asset benefits from diversified lodging demand driven by one of the country’s most active energy-producing regions, supported by commercial travel, infrastructure development and nearby healthcare demand generators.
The property attracted national and regional investors during a competitive marketing process, reflecting renewed confidence in secondary West Texas hospitality markets. The buyer plans to reposition the property as a Best Western hotel, investing in brand conversion and operational enhancements to capture increased corporate and energy-sector demand as lodging demand across the Permian Basin is expected to continue strengthening in the coming years.
