Marcus & Millichap closed the sale of Comfort Inn & Suites Chicago City, a 51-room hospitality property in Chisago City, Minnesota.
Jake Erickson and Jared Plamann, associates in Marcus & Millichap’s Minneapolis office and associate directors within the firm’s exclusive Hospitality Division, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller. Jon Ruzicka, a first vice president in Marcus & Millichap’s Minneapolis office and a director within the firm’s Hospitality Division procured the buyer, too.
Comfort Inn & Suites Chisago is located at 29579 Sportsman Drive in Chisago City. Its proximity about a half hour north of Minneapolis and its recent construction made it a highly desirable asset. Through an all-encompassing marketing effort the team was able to generate multiple offers leading to a competitive environment.
This sale marks the 47th Upper Midwest hotel transaction the team of Ruzicka, Erickson and Plamann has recently conducted and only the second overall Minneapolis metro area hotel sale since the onset of COVID-19.
