MB Real Estate and CBRE Global Investors are pleased to announce the installation of a unique digital art/media wall in the lobby of 181 W. Madison, located in Chicago’s central Loop. The first of its kind in the city, the 55′ x 15′ media wall is an original design created by New York City’s Niles Creative Group.

“As the CBD continues to attract more new businesses, landlords are seeking ways to differentiate their buildings and make them more inviting to today’s marketplace,” said Kevin Purcell, EVP/COO of MB Real Estate. “This is particularly reflected by the incorporation of technology which continues to reshape the way we interact with the workplace.”

Comprised of 147 tile monitors, the media wall will showcase building information, holiday displays and Chicago-specific content. The new feature is located behind the main security desk in the expansive atrium-style lobby, which also received a white back-painted glass front on the security desk and new paint for the sculpture walls, area rugs and tables.

“In addition to the new media wall and 5-Star Worldwide tenant services program, 181 W. Madison is pleased to announce a one-of-a-kind, 14,000-square-foot Wellness Center as well as 30,000 square feet of new, high-end spec suites and a conference facility,” added Purcell. “These additions are representative of a new life cycle for the building with a focus on technology, life/work balance and increased collaboration. It’s also a clear indication that ownership is committed to its tenants and is strengthening the property’s position to attract new businesses.”

The Wellness Center will offer the latest fitness equipment and upwards of 30 group classes, ranging from yoga and Pilates to TRX conditioning and kickboxing. It will also feature virtual training in the mind/body studio, spa-quality locker rooms and laundry service, along with a HydroMassage bed allowing employees to experience the equivalent of a one-hour massage in 15 minutes. The Wellness Center is scheduled to open in January, with memberships available beginning in mid-December.

The 5-Star Conference Center is a complimentary amenity for all tenants featuring an exclusive open hospitality lounge area where employees can refresh with a snack or beverage. A classroom style training room and boardroom is also available, equipped with audio visual capability as well as the dedicated services of an onsite 5-Star manager empowered to harness the resources of the 5-Star nationwide platform to customize concierge solutions for 181 W. Madison’s tenants. Additionally, the new 30,000 square feet of spec suites feature both open and private office concepts and were constructed with high-end finishes.

CBRE Global Investors purchased 181 W. Madison earlier this year from GE Asset Management. MB Real Estate leases and manages the 50-story, 952,559 square foot, Class A high-rise in downtown Chicago.
