Saint Louis University is moving forward with a campus housing master plan that calls for new residences and extensive renovations to facilities at the university’s St. Louis campus.
The first phase of the proposed plan is expected to include the construction of two residence halls on the Frost campus; renovation of the Griesedieck complex, including Walsh and Clemens halls; and conversion of the the university’s Water Tower Inn at the Medical Center into housing for graduate students.
The first new residence hall is expected to open in August of 2016, followed by a second residence hall in 2017. Renovation of the Giesedieck Complex should be complete by August of 2019.
The Division of Student Development, assisted by Chicago-based firm Brailsford & Dunlavey, led the master-planning process.
McCarthy has been hired for preconstruction and construction of the project.
