McColly Bennett Commercial Advantage adds two brokers in New Lenox

McColly Bennett Commercial Advantage is expanding its commercial real estate brokerage and dealmaking presence in Will County, establishing an office and adding two brokers in New Lenox, Illinois. The firm has named Joe Nugent a vice president and real estate broker and Esmerelda Roman a real estate broker.

With this commercial focus in New Lenox, McColly Bennett Commercial Advantage now has a presence in Valparaiso, Dyer, Bourbonnais and New Lenox. In further establishing its footprint in Will County, the McColly Bennett team is getting reacquainted with local developers, attorneys, and accountants to serve as a resource in the marketplace.

The firm is targeting tenant and landlord representation services within the industrial, office, and retail property sectors, including strategic local development partnerships.

Joe Nugent is a veteran commercial real estate professional with more than 25 years serving the brokerage representation needs of clients in Chicago, with an emphasis on the south suburban market area. Most recently, Nugent was a principal at Nugent Curtis Real Estate. His partner, Chris Curtis, shifted his focus on his Mayoral duties in the City of Kankakee. While Nugent still has a healthy appetite for commercial real estate brokerage, he realized that partnering with Jeff Bennett and the McColly Bennett team is a strong strategic move within the Will/ Kankakee County market as well as opening up opportunities in Northwest Indiana.

Nugent understands the evolving market dynamics in Will County. He cited Will County’s robust infrastructure, including rail, intermodal facilities, and highways such as Interstate 55, Interstate 57, and Interstate 80 as having influenced the ongoing development potential that exists throughout the county.

Esmerelda Roman officially joins McColly Bennett after holding senior level accounting and auditing positions in public accounting for the last five years. In these positions she provided risk management perspectives that were critical in clients’ strategic planning and process improvement functions. This background gives her the strong analytical, organizational, and client relationship skills necessary to represent the best interests of clients and to convey the risks and opportunities of potential real estate outcomes.

Roman is a graduate of Lewis University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minor in Finance.

Nugent is a graduate of Marquette University and is an Accredited Land Consultant with the Realtors Land Institute.
