McCownGordon Construction will provide construction-management-at-risk services for two major projects in Missouri, the $120 million UMKC Healthcare Delivery and Innovation Building and $151 million State of Missouri Lab Campus.
Located in the UMKC Health Sciences District in Kansas City, Missouri,, the multi-story, 200,000-square-foot Healthcare Delivery and Innovation Building will house cutting-edge dental teaching clinics and expanded medical teaching facilities.
Promoting collaboration and interdisciplinary research, the building will empower students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their chosen fields and meet the evolving needs of the healthcare industry.
Design is currently underway through a collaboration between Clark & Enersen and RDG Planning & Design. Construction is anticipated to be complete in spring 2026.
McCownGordon was also selected for the $151 million State of Missouri Multi-Agency Lab Campus. Located in Jefferson City, Missouri, this state-of-the-art facility will span an impressive 225,000 square feet and house health lab spaces, MSHP crime lab spaces and several support spaces as well as a 150,000-square-foot parking garage.
The new facility creates a centralized hub for cross-collaboration between five state agencies, including the Department of Health and Senior Services, Department of Natural Resources, Department of Agriculture, Department of Conservation and the Missouri Highway Patrol.
By consolidating these agencies within a single location, the state lab will be able to offer expanded services with greater efficiency and expedience. The facility plays a pivotal role in fostering improved community health in the state of Missouri.
Multistudio is currently designing the project with construction scheduled to begin by mid-2024 with completion slated before the end of 2026.
